US stocks reversed early morning losses to finish the session in the green as the US and Iran prepared for peace talks in Pakistan, with a fragile ceasefire largely holding.

The S&P 500 Index gained 0.6% as nine of its 11 sectors rallied, led by consumer discretionary and industrials stocks. Optimism that the US-Israel war on Iran will end soon and bring energy costs down pushed the S&P 500 to advance for a seventh straight day — marking its longest winning streak since October.
