Stellantis NV is likely to raise Italian production by more than 30% to 500,000 vehicles this year, as the Fiat and Jeep owner benefits from rising demand for new models, according to labor union FIM-CISL.

Output in the first quarter climbed 9.5% to 120,366 units, the union said Thursday, which includes vans. Passenger-car production led the increase driven by the new hybrid Fiat 500 made at the Mirafiori plant in Turin, and a freshened Jeep Compass in Melfi.
