The Philippine government will provide fuel subsidies to public transport drivers from next week as part of measures to address the continued fallout from the Iran war, according to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

The decision was reached following Marcos’ meeting with an interagency group tasked to ensure stability of the country’s energy supply, he said in a video message posted on his Facebook account on Thursday.
