Both of Colombia’s conservative presidential candidates would hold sizable leads over leftist Senator Ivan Cepeda in a potential runoff election, a new poll found, suggesting the nation is set to swing to the right this year.

Conservative lawyer Abelardo de la Espriella would receive 48.8% of the vote against 39.8% for Cepeda, a close ally of outgoing President Gustavo Petro, in a head-to-head scenario, according to an AtlasIntel poll published by Semana magazine on Thursday. Senator Paloma Valencia would garner 47.1% to 39.6% for Cepeda if they faced off in a second round, the survey found.
