Protesters blocked an Irish oil refinery and demonstrated in Dublin over the government’s handling of soaring fuel prices in the wake of the war in the Middle East.

The demonstrations included parking trucks and tractors on a key thoroughfare in Dublin, blocking traffic for a third straight day. Hauliers and farmers across the country have blockaded fuel depots and disrupted traffic in other cities including Cork and Galway, demanding that policymakers meet with them to negotiate a more appealing support package, according to Irish media.
