India Wary as Pakistan Hailed by World Leaders as Peacemaker

For almost a year after a brief armed conflict with Pakistan, India has been trying to portray its nuclear-armed neighbor as a sponsor of terrorism that shouldn’t be trusted by other governments.

That message appears to have gained little traction. Officials in New Delhi have looked on warily this week as President Donald Trump and top officials around the world hailed Islamabad for its role as peacemaker in the US-Israel war against Iran.
