Venezuela to Boost Public Sector Salaries Hit by Fast Inflation

Venezuela’s interim government will raise monthly salaries for public-sector workers as authorities seek to ease pressure on households after months of high inflation and low wage increases.

The change will be effective from May 1st, acting President Delcy Rodríguez said Wednesday, adding it will be done “responsibly”. She didn’t give further details about the size of the change.
