UK Approves Largest Solar Farm in Clean Energy Drive

The UK has approved an 800-megawatt solar project as it pushes for the ambitious goal of decarbonizing its power system by 2030, even as costs rise.

The Springwell solar farm in Lincolnshire is expected to be the country’s largest in generation terms and to power more than 180,000 homes each year, the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero said in a statement.
