Santos Expects to Restart Barossa Gas Production Around Mid-April

Santos Ltd. plans to recommence production at its Barossa gas plant in Australia around April 18, a move that will help ease a supply crunch in Asia stemming from the conflict in the Middle East.

Dry gas seals on Barossa’s floating production storage and offloading compressors have been replaced to allow production at full capacity, and heat exchangers are now being flushed and cleaned to remove blockages, the company said in a statement to the Australian Stock Exchange. The facility was closed in March to replace some equipment.
