Paris Department Store Owner Reviews China Presence Amid Slump
Galeries Lafayette, the French department store chain, is reconsidering how it operates in China as the consumer downturn in the key luxury market drags on.
“We’re having a lot of rethinking about the model and the types of partnerships we have,” Alexandre Liot, deputy chief executive officer, told reporters Wednesday when the group revealed its strategic plan to 2030. “Everything is on the table regarding the various options that are available for us,” Liot said, indicating the company doesn’t plan to leave China.
