German Factory Orders Showed Small Rebound Ahead of Iran War

German factory orders rebounded less than expected in February, before the start of the Iran war that risks derailing the recovery of Europe’s largest economy.

Demand increased 0.9% from a month earlier, following a 11.1% slump at the start of the year. That’s below the 3% median estimate in a Bloomberg survey. Stripping out large-scale orders, the gauge increased 3.5%, the statistics office said Wednesday.
