Archegos Capital Management founder Bill Hwang was sued for allegedly failing to pay a $14.2 million bill from the consulting firm that provided an expert witness to testify for his defense.

Compass Lexecon, a unit of FTI Consulting Inc., sued Hwang Wednesday in Manhattan federal court, claiming he failed to pay at least nine invoices for services relating to his criminal case. Hwang was convicted of fraud and market manipulation over the collapse of his $36 billion family office and sentenced to 18 years in prison.
