Bankrupt auto-parts maker First Brands Group must give a last-minute bidder a chance to buy some of its most-recognizable brands, a federal judge ruled Tuesday.

Autoparts maker NOCO Co. has until Friday to make an offer for at least one of the 12 brands that First Brands is trying to sell as part of its multi-billion dollar bankruptcy case, Judge Christopher Lopez said during a court hearing. NOCO has said it was wrongly denied a chance to bid on one of the brands.
