Trump to Pay DHS Workers, House Set to Stay on Easter Recess

Speaker Mike Johnson told lawmakers in a Thursday conference call that the pending order makes an early return unnecessary, a person on the call said. The GOP lawmakers, who’d been under pressure to scramble back to the Capitol and find a fix, are now set to remain on their two-week break.
