Foreign Selling of Japan Stocks Hits 18-Month High on Iran Risk
Foreigners offloaded the most Japanese shares since September 2024 last week in another sign of growing fears about the impact of the Iran war on the Asian economy.
Overseas investors dumped around ¥1.51 trillion ($9.5 billion) of Japanese cash equities on a net basis in the week ended March 27, according to data from Japan Exchange Group Inc. That marks the third straight week of selling after a streak of net buying.
