Rightmove Plc is facing a £1.5 billion ($2 billion) class action lawsuit over allegations that it abused its dominant position in the UK online property listings market, sending shares down the most in almost five months.

Lawyers for Jeremy Newman, a former panel member at the UK competition regulator, said he filed a legal action on Wednesday, claiming that the website charged thousands of estate agents and developers excessive and unfair subscription fees.
