Kenya Threatens to Prosecute Citizens Enlisted in Russian War
Kenya warned it will prosecute citizens who enlist in foreign conflicts, after repatriating 47 people recruited to fight for Russia in its war on Ukraine.
The East African nation’s penal code prohibits Kenyans from serving in the military, police or other armed forces of other countries without government approval, Foreign Secretary Musalia Mudavadi told lawmakers in the capital, Nairobi, on Wednesday.
