Emerging Assets Rebound as War De-escalation Hands Sliver of Hope

Emerging-market stocks rallied the most since 2022 as optimism about a possible end to the war in Iran spurred appetite for riskier assets after a bruising month in global markets.

The MSCI EM Index surged 4.3% on Wednesday, while a companion gauge for currencies gained 0.7% — the first advance in five days as nearly all emerging currencies rallied against the dollar.
