Stock traders triggered a euphoric rally on Tuesday, piling into US equities after Iran’s official news agency said the country’s president was willing to end its warBloomberg Terminal with America.

The S&P 500 Index extended gains following the report, surging 2.9% to mark its biggest advance since May 12, after the US and China came to a truce on trade. More than three quarters of stocks on the benchmark rose as US oil prices declined.
