Three Female Executives Lead Management Buyout at Sports Retailer Sail

In the corporate world, an executive suite dominated by women is a rarity. Even more unusual is a company where the majority of shares are held by women. Now, one Canadian firm has both.

Sail Outdoors Inc., a Quebec-based retail chain specializing in outdoor sporting gear, said Tuesday three members of its executive team are taking a majority stake. The group includes Chief Executive Officer Isabelle Lemay along with Stefania Cella, the chief financial officer, and Catherine Venne, vice president of marketing.
