JPMorgan Sees Australia IPO Demand Resilient to Stock Turmoil
Australia’s pipeline for initial public offerings is showing signs of resilience, even as the war in Iran rattles the stock market and fuels uncertainty, according to JPMorgan Chase & Co.
“We continue to see a robust IPO pipeline in Australia with investors still eager to meet with high quality companies,” Justin Grimmond, head of equity capital markets for Australia and New Zealand at JPMorgan, said in an interview. The firm ranked first in underwriting equity and rights offerings in the region last year, according to Bloomberg’s league tables.
