Hedge Fund Manager Rokos Gives Record £190 Million to Cambridge

Billionaire Chris Rokos made a name for himself placing enormous hedge fund bets. Now he’s using his fortune to shape the future of government.

The star hedge fund trader, who founded Rokos Capital Management about a decade ago, is giving £190 million ($251 million) to the University of Cambridge, according to a statement on Tuesday. That would be the largest-ever donation to a British university in modern times, the 817-year-old educational institution said.
