Megia’s Hedge Fund Taula Raises $1.75 Billion in New Cash

Diego Megia’s macro hedge fund has raised $1.75 billion in new cash, as an expanding investment team including the hiring of economist Reza Moghadam enhances its capacity to manage more money.

The additional amount bolsters the total assets at his Taula Capital Management to more than $8.5 billion, according to a person with knowledge of the matter. The new cash came from existing investors, the person added, asking not to be identified as the information is private.
