UK Food Exports to US Slumped After Trump Imposed Trade Tariffs
UK exports to the US slumped in the second half of 2025, as tariffs raised the prices of products from whisky to infant formula.
The value of British food and drink products shipped across the Atlantic fell 8.6% from a year earlier, according to the UK’s Food and Drink Federation, citing the impact of President Donald Trump’s trade levies. Exports had risen almost 19% in the first half of the year, the industry lobby group said Tuesday.
