Thieves in Italy Steal Masterworks by Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse

Thieves broke into an art museum near the Italian city of Parma and stole three paintings worth more than $10 million by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne and Henri Matisse, according to local news reports.

The pieces were stolen on the night of March 22 from the Magnani Rocca Foundation, according to a report in La Repubblica. The works include “The Fish” by Renoir, Cézanne’s “Still Life With Cherries” and “Odalisque on the Terrace” by Matisse, the news outlet said.
