GM to Add Overtime at Michigan Plant to Boost Gas Pickup Output

Photographer: Anthony Lanzilote/BloombergGeneral Motors Co. will start operating a Michigan truck plant on Saturdays later this year, adding overtime production to build more of its gas-powered heavy-duty pickups.
The company will run additional hours at its Flint factory starting in June, but doesn’t plan to add more workers, according to a GM spokesman. The plant builds heavy-duty versions of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups for commercial businesses and individual customers.
