Mali raised diesel and petrol prices, while cutting fuel subsidies after months of supply disruptions caused by an al-Qaeda-linked militant blockade.

Diesel prices were raised by 29.7% to 940 CFA francs ($1.62) per liter from 725 CFA francs a liter, and petrol prices by 12.9% to 875 CFA a liter from 775 CFA francs a liter, according to a statement from the Office National des Produits Pétroliers, the national entity responsible for managing the country’s petroleum products.
