India Says Iran War Could Hit Growth, Widen Fiscal Deficit

India sees the Iran war weighing on growth and possibly widening its fiscal deficit as energy and shipping disruptions shortages ripple across sectors.

“The near-term outlook remains uncertain as higher input costs and supply constraints pose downside risks to economic expansion,” the government said in its monthly economic review for March, without giving precise projections.
