Trump’s Budget Proposal to Congress to Be Delivered April 3
President Donald Trump will deliver his annual budget request to Congress on April 3 as he seeks to dramatically boost defense spending while continuing to downsize domestic agencies, according to a person familiar with the process.
The Good Friday budget proposal will be the first detailed look at Trump’s spending priorities in his second term. Presidents begin their first year in office with what’s known as a “skinny budget” — but Trump’s 2025 proposal was even more sparse than usual, and he didn’t follow up with a more detailed plan that included economic projections.
