Telecom Italia Prepares to Scrap Inwit Renewal at Sunday Meeting

Telecom Italia SpA is preparing to scrap the renewal of a mobile-phone tower agreement with Inwit SpA that would have extended the contract through 2038, according to people familiar with the matter.

Telecom Italia’s board is set to meet Sunday to review the situation, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the discussions are private. No final decision has been taken, and deliberations are ongoing, they said.
