A Thai-flagged cargo vessel struck by Iranian projectiles earlier this month has run aground after drifting for weeks in the Strait of Hormuz, and efforts are underway to locate three missing crew members.

The Mayuree Naree is now “aground on an Iranian island,” Khalid M. Hashim, managing director of Precious Shipping Pcl, the ship’s owner, said in an email Friday. The vessel ran aground on the coast of Qeshm Island, Iran’s state-owned Press TV reportedBloomberg Terminal.
