Hamptons Rentals to Cash In on Record Wall Street Bonuses

Record Wall Street bonuses aren’t good news for only those in Manhattan’s finance industry. Some of those funds should also make their way to landlords in the Hamptons, a preferred summer destination for the city’s bankers, said New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli.

“The fact that it was a really good year as far as bonuses for folks looking to do rentals on the east end of Long Island, they’re probably feeling very comfortable that they’ll be able to do that,” DiNapoli said at a press conference Thursday. New York’s bankers are set “to benefit from these bonuses and to maintain the lifestyle that they’ve become accustomed to.”
