Chinese automakers regained momentum in Europe in February, increasing pressure on Western incumbents after a brief sales slowdown at the start of the year.

Brands led by BYD Co. and Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology Co. took 16% of hybrid registrations in Europe last month, up a percentage point from January, according to researcher Dataforce. Their share among fully electric cars rose two percentage points to 14%.
