Biggest Off-Grid Solar Firm Enters Ethiopia in $150 Million Pact

Sun King, the world’s largest off-grid solar company, plans to spend as much as $150 million by 2030 expanding into Ethiopia, Africa’s second-most populous nation.

The planned investment, in the form of a memorandum of understanding with the Ethiopian Investment Commission, is part of a broader drive by the Kenya-based company to spend $1.3 billion by 2030 expanding energy access in Africa.
