Elon Musk’s Boring Co. held talks with the city of Houston about building an underground transit corridor through the center of the Texas metropolis.

Boring executives pitched ferrying passengers in Tesla Inc. vehicles through a network of seven stations to relieve traffic congestion in the city, according to documents obtained by Bloomberg through a public records request. The talks, which involved Houston Mayor John Whitmire, began in May 2023 and continued for about 18 months before ending without breaking ground.
