MBDA, Europe’s biggest missile manufacturer, plans to expand production by 40% this year and work on interceptors, saying demand has surged since the outbreak of the Iran war.

The company will support increased production by doubling its investment plan to €5 billion ($5.8 billion) by 2030, Chief Executive Officer Eric Beranger said at a news conference Thursday. It has an order backlog of €44.4 billion, he said.
