African Development Bank Plans Highest Water Spend in a Decade
The African Development Bank plans to invest $1 billion in water and sanitation projects across 18 countries this year, building on growing momentum in the sector.
If approved by the AfDB board, it would mark the lender’s highest spending on water projects since the 2016 financial year, when it invested a record $1.2 billion, said Mtchera Chirwa, director of its Water and Sanitation Department.
