Odey Sent Text Message to Victim to Stop Her From Speaking Out, FCA Alleges

Ex-hedge fund boss Crispin Odey tried to prevent a personal assistant who he groped from speaking to the City watchdog, the Financial Conduct Authority said on the second day of his cross-examination in the appeal over his lifetime ban from UK finance.

The London tribunal was shown a text message from Odey to the former staffer, who Odey sexually harassed in 2005, telling her that the FCA was using her to pursue a “vendetta” against him and Odey Asset Management.
