Morrisons Sales Grow as Price-Matching, Offers Lure Shoppers

Morrisons reported higher sales and more cost cutting as the highly leveraged UK supermarket chain seeks a turnaround under Chief Executive Officer Rami Baitieh.

The grocer reported 13 consecutive quarters of like-for-like sales growth on Wednesday, with an increase of 2.8% in the 13 weeks ended Jan. 25. Morrisons made £49 million ($66 million) of cost cuts in the quarter, bringing the total to £849 million since its savings program began in March 2023.
