JPMorgan Picks HSBC Banker for Senior India Officer Role

JPMorgan Chase & Co. has appointed Rahul Badhwar, a veteran from HSBC Holdings Plc, as its senior country officer for India, according to an internal memo, following a months-long selection process as the Wall Street firm seeks to strengthen its leadership in a major growth market.

Badhwar, most recently global head of corporate sales for markets and securities services at HSBC, is set to begin his new role in July, the memo said. He will be based in Mumbai. A JPMorgan spokeswoman in India confirmed the contents of the memo.
