Bank of Finland Cuts Forecast as Energy Shock Lifts Prices

Finland’s nascent economic recovery is at risk as rising energy prices driven by the war in Iran weigh on growth and add to inflation pressures, the Bank of Finland forecast.

The central bank now estimates growth of 0.6% this year, down from 0.8% projected in December, it said in a statement on Tuesday. The forecast for 2027 was cut by 0.3 percentage point to 1.4%.
