Bain Sees Optimism for Asian Private Equity Though Threat Looms

Confidence is building around Asia-Pacific private equity as exit values increase and investors’ net cash flow turns positive, though war in the Middle East threatens the recovery, according to global consultancy Bain & Co.

While the conflict hasn’t had a big impact on Asia dealmaking yet, the longer it continues “the deeper the effects will be on markets, valuations and ultimately on transactions,” Sebastien Lamy, co-head of the Asia Pacific private equity practice at Bain, said in an interview.
