UK Studies Wider Ways to Help Economy on Iran, Starmer Says
UK prime minister Keir Starmer said he is looking at wider measures to support Britain’s economy through the Iran crisis as he prepares to chair an emergency meeting on the economic impact of the conflict.
The premier is due to host Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey, Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves and Energy Secretary Ed Miliband among other top officials at the meeting — known as Cobra — later on Monday.
