Taiwan to Skip WTO Meeting Due to Visa Dispute With Cameroon

Taiwan said it will skip a WTO conference in Cameroon due to a dispute over how the hosts labeled its delegation in visa paperwork.

Cameroon identified the group as “Taiwan, Province of China” in the documents, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taipei. That designation was inconsistent with its status in the World Trade Organization, the ministry said.
