Super Bowl, Olympics Led to Record 4.9 Million Peacock Customers

Photographer: Elsa/Getty ImagesComcast Corp.’s NBCUniversal saw a record number of new customers for its Peacock streaming service in February after the network aired a trio of high-profile sports events, including the Super Bowl and the Winter Olympics.
These events, alongside the NBA All-Star Game, helped drive 4.9 million new subscribers to Peacock, the largest-ever number in a single month, according to the market research firm Antenna. The service was responsible for 34% of all new customer additions on premium streaming platforms.
