ECB Asks Banks How Iran War Is Impacting Clients, Operations

The European Central Bank is asking lenders about fallout from the Iran war on their operations and clients, according to people familiar with the matter.

As part of regular interactions, the ECB has questioned banks about the risks, liquidity and behavior of their clients, the people said, who asked to remain anonymous as the interactions are private. The so-called joint supervisory teams have also asked about direct risks related to the Middle East, they said.
