Cyprus President Calls for Talks With UK On Sovereign Bases

Cyprus wants a “frank, open discussion,” with the UK government over the future of the British sovereign bases on the eastern Mediterranean island when the current conflict in the Middle East is over, the nation’s President said.
“The issue of the British bases needs to be discussed,” Nikos Christodoulides said Friday in a Bloomberg TV interview with Oliver Crook.
