Central Banker Sees ‘Major Threat’ to Colombia From Iran War
The war in the Middle East is a “major threat” to a Colombian economy, which already faced serious price pressures, according to a senior policymaker.
Inflation expectations have become unanchored following a this year’s record rise in the minimum wage, central bank board member Olga Lucía Acosta said Thursday. In addition, the economy is showing signs of overheating as “vigorous” demand outpaces output, she said.
