Treasury Says Cuba Can’t Get Russian Oil as Ship Heads to Island

The Treasury Department added Cuba to a list of countries restricted from taking delivery of Russian oil after a tanker of the fuel appeared to be headed to the island, which is under a US naval blockade.

In a general license released Thursday, the Treasury added several countries to the list of nations prohibited from transactions involving the sale, delivery or offloading of crude oil or petroleum products that originate in Russia.
