Sweden Holds Interest Rate Steady as Iran War Clouds Outlook

Photographer: Erik Flyg/BloombergSweden’s central bank held borrowing costs unchanged for a fourth straight meeting and restated a plan for no moves this year as it awaits more clarity on impacts from the war in the Middle East.
The Riksbank kept its key interest rate at a three-year low of 1.75%, according to a statement on Thursday, as forecast by all 19 economists surveyed by Bloomberg. The policymakers restated a projection that the main rate should stay at that level into 2027.
